Despite existing inequities, The Akar Institute of Enterprise Freedom and Public Policy Research believes that the United States is not fundamentally racist or discriminatory. We are dedicated to addressing the real causes of societal disparities without resorting to race-based preferences. Our purpose is to:

1. Promote Non-Color-Based Equal Opportunity: We advocate for policies that ensure equal access to opportunities based on individual merit, effort, and ability, rather than race or ethnicity preferences.

2. Identify and Address Root Causes: We focus on uncovering and tackling the actual factors contributing to disparities, such as economic barriers, education gaps, and healthcare access, rather than relying on surface-level explanations and solutions.

3. Reject Race-Based Preferences: We oppose policies that replace one form of discrimination with another by granting preferences based on skin color, or ethnicity. Instead, we support initiatives that provide equal chances for all Americans to succeed.

4. Develop Evidence-Based Policies: Through rigorous research and analysis, we create and disseminate policy recommendations that address systemic issues without resorting to discriminatory practices.

5. Educate and Advocate: We aim to inform policymakers, stakeholders, and the public about the importance of non-color-based equal opportunity and the potential harms of race-based preferences. Our advocacy efforts seek to build a fairer and more just society for all Americans.

6. Enhance Economic Freedom: We strive to remove barriers to economic opportunity, ensuring that all Americans have the freedom to pursue their economic goals without discrimination.

7. Improve Healthcare Access: We work towards healthcare policies that provide equitable access to quality care, ensuring that healthcare disparities are addressed effectively.
